Kev’s Betting Tips – Week 6

So no luck last week! Equalizers by Bray and Pats spoiled a weekend that was so close, but yet so far! Finn Harps pulled a surprising win outta the bag, and Daryl Horgan, unfortunately, did not find the net.

Right, so the only way is (Essex) up from here! Some very interesting games to look forward to, and once again cast my uneducated opinion on!

Bohs vs Cork this weekend, a fixture not played since 2009

Bohemians v Cork City

Yes yes, I know, Cork City again! But alas, this sees the meeting of two of our blogs heavy hitters go head to head (And possible share a pint) so I thought it right to give something on it! My prediction? City win, yes biased I know but the Rebel Army badly need a win and with Bohs their best chance all season, Tommy Dunne’s men will be walking back to Cork if they can’t bring home three points.

My Bet: Cork City (17/10)

St. Patrick’s Athletic v Shamrock Rovers

This week’s live game looks to be a real cracker, with Pats playing host to a Rovers side that has already shot out of the blocks. Gary Twigg has continued his fine form, scoring 5 in 5, and looking a constant threat for opposition defences. Pats started well with two wins, but have drawn their last three games and seem short of goals.

My Bet: Shamrock Rovers win and Gary Twigg anytime goalscorer (11/4)

The Flower of Scotland has been in fine form, netting five times already this season

Mervue United v Waterford United

Waterford seem a battered team, yes they beat Limerick, but heavy losses to Wexford, Cork City (Who were playing their u19 side plus one or two senior players) and most recently a defeat at the hand of Finn Harps at home is a real cause for concern for the Blues. This week they go to Mervue United who have gone back a long way since last season. I think it’s about time for Mervue to get a point, and it’s here I think they’ll get it.

My Bet: Draw (11/5)

Limerick FC v Longford Town

Limerick go into this game in good form, having won their last four games, but the only side better than them at the moment is Longford. The Midland side are the only unbeaten team in the division so far and stand on 13 points from apossible 15, enjoying wins over most notably Waterford, the only side to beat Limerick so far. While I can understand Limerick being odds on favourites (Like they’ll be for the rest of the season most likely) I still can see Longford getting something from this, and 13/5 is a good price.

My Bet: Draw (13/5)

Possible Promotion Battle?!
